Day 7…Lake Bled to Munich

The next morning we wanted to run around Lake Bled before we hit the road to Germany.

They have a few spots around the lake that offer trails up the mountain that you can climb up for better views of the island in the middle of the lake!

This was Sunday morning so the path was pretty empty in the morning which was awesome. In the afternoons, these paths get pretty crowded and it was nice to experience this solitude for a little bit!

My mom working on her tricep dips with a gorgeous view! We’re always looking to get some exercise in where we can!

I ditched my mom and climbed up to the castle for the best view in the city. The castle was roughly $11 for an adult to get in, well worth it for the views alone!

This is the restaurant at the castle. My one regret is we didn’t eat here. It was about $120/person for a prefixed meal, but unfortunately I paid for dinner at our hotel when I booked it, so we cancelled our castle reservations and ate at the hotel. I wish we would have splurged and ate here instead!

Some wax figures inside the castle. The castle also had a souvenir shop and wine cellar which I took advantage of and bought a few things to bring back to the kids and mother in law for helping watch the kiddos!

Great view from the top of the castle.

We checked out of the hotel and headed towards Munich. There was an amazing lunch spot we randomly found on the drive. I would highly recommend this pit stop!

It felt like we were in Hawaii with all the tropical plants during this lunch stop:)

When we got into Munich, we walked to a cute little Italian restaurant for dinner. We had to carbo-load to get ready for Octoberfest which was the very next day!
